1. Overview

Anime Array is a static editorial website. You can read every page without creating an account, logging in, or paying. We do not run our own analytics, affiliate links, or newsletter. We do not sell personal information that we hold.

Some pages carry display advertising served by a third-party network. Those ads are labeled “Advertisement” and may set cookies or collect technical data as described below. The ad network controls its own practices; this policy explains what we know and what we do not control.

2. What we collect

We do not ask for personal information to read the site. There are no comment fields, accounts, newsletters, or checkout flows. The contact form is the one place you can send us information directly.

The personal information we receive is what you choose to send: your name, email address, topic, and message. If you use the contact form, those fields are sent to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), our form-delivery provider, which forwards the submission to contact@animearray.site. FormSubmit may also process your IP address and basic technical data to deliver the message and filter spam. We do not store form submissions on this site.

The ad network may collect technical data automatically when an ad loads. That data is sent to the network, not to Anime Array. See the next section.

3. Advertising

Anime Array uses a third-party advertising network, bauval.org, to serve display ads on the home page, the feed, and article pages. We do not sell ad space directly, and we do not choose or review every creative the network displays.

When an ad loads, the network may receive your IP address, browser and device information, the page URL, and the referring page. It may set cookies or use local storage, and it may use fraud-prevention or device signals. It may use this data to select, measure, cap, or personalize ads. We do not receive your name, email address, or a reader profile from the network.

Ads are labeled “Advertisement.” If you see a creative that looks deceptive, malicious, or inappropriate, email contact@animearray.site with the page URL and, if possible, a screenshot. We can report it to the network, but we cannot guarantee that a specific ad will be removed.

You can block third-party scripts or cookies in your browser. The site remains readable; some ads may not appear.

4. Cookies and analytics

Anime Array does not set its own analytics, personalization, or tracking cookies. We do not add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tools to the site. The feed’s search and category filters are handled entirely in your browser; the query is reflected in the page URL so you can share a filtered view, but it is not sent to us as analytics.

Third-party ad scripts may set cookies. In testing, loading the ad script set a Cloudflare bot-management cookie on the bauval.org domain. The network may also use local storage or similar technologies. These are controlled by the network, not Anime Array. If you clear cookies or use a content blocker, some ads may not appear.

We do not currently run a separate cookie-consent banner. Your browser’s cookie controls and content blockers are the available opt-out. We are reviewing whether a consent tool is needed for visitors in regions that require one.

5. Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard technical logs when a page is requested. These can include your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referring page, and timestamp. Hosting providers use this information for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and diagnosing errors.

We do not use server logs to build profiles of readers or to track you across other sites. Ad network servers also receive requests when an ad loads; their logging is governed by their own policies. If you are concerned about IP logging, standard browser privacy tools and a reputable VPN can reduce what is visible to any website you visit.

6. Email and the contact form

If you email us, or use the contact form, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use that information to read and respond to you, to verify corrections, and to keep a record of the conversation if needed.

Contact form submissions are delivered by FormSubmit, which processes the fields you enter and may process your IP address and submission metadata to deliver the message and filter spam. FormSubmit acts as a data processor for delivery; its own privacy policy also applies. We do not add email contacts to a marketing list, sell them, or share them with advertisers.

Please do not send sensitive personal information; a correction or a source tip rarely requires it.

7. Fonts and external requests

The site’s fonts are self-hosted from this domain. Loading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts or another font service. The illustrations are original SVG files hosted here; they do not contain third-party tracking pixels.

The contact form posts to formsubmit.co. That request discloses your IP address and the form contents to FormSubmit. No other page loads a third-party form service.

Pages with ads load scripts and ad frames from bauval.org and the network’s ad-serving domains. Those requests disclose your IP address and browser information to the network. If you click an ad, the advertiser’s site may set its own cookies or collect data. Those practices are governed by that site’s privacy policy, not this one.

Our field notes link to sources such as publisher pages, official franchise sites, research papers, character profiles, and fan databases. We choose editorial links for citation, not for tracking. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, including advertised sites.

9. Children

Anime Array is written for a general audience interested in anime and storytelling. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads on the site are not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. Because we hold very little data, the practical route for information we control is usually a simple email.

For data collected by the ad network, the network is the relevant controller. We can help identify the network and the page where an ad appeared, but we cannot retrieve or delete a profile that the network holds. You can also use your browser’s cookie controls or a content blocker.

To make a request about information we hold, write to contact@animearray.site with the subject line “Privacy request.” Tell us what you want us to do and include enough information for us to identify the relevant email. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

11. Data retention

We keep emails and contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond, resolve a correction, or maintain a record of an editorial decision. If you ask us to delete a message and there is no overriding legal or editorial reason to keep it, we will delete it.

Server logs are controlled by the hosting provider and are retained according to its own schedule. Ad data is retained by the ad network under its policies. FormSubmit processes submissions for delivery and retains them under its own policy. We do not maintain a separate reader database.

12. International visitors

Anime Array is published on the open web and can be read from anywhere. Our email, hosting, form-delivery, and advertising providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, those providers are responsible for the safeguards described in their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy was updated on October 29, 2026 to disclose FormSubmit, the provider that delivers contact-form messages. The October 23 update disclosed third-party display advertising. If our practices change again—for example, if we add a newsletter, a consent tool, or a different ad network—we will update this page and change the “last updated” date. Material changes will be described in plain language, not hidden in a revision history.

14. Contact

Questions about this policy can go to contact@animearray.site. We will do our best to answer clearly and promptly.
